About

Mental health is a term that is used to refer to our emotional health and the wellbeing of our mind. Mental health can affect the way we think, feel and behave. Although we might not all experience a mental health issue ourselves, it is increasingly important that we are well informed and able to sensitively communicate and support others. In particular, this is increasingly the case in educational and employment contexts, where staff are required to respond to and support their pupils or employees.

Let's Talk Mental Health exists to spread awareness and destigmatise the topic of mental health in schools, organisations, and the wider community. This is achieved through a range of interactive workshops, activities, training and educational programmes, to a range of different audiences. The workshop content, activities and focus, can be customised to suit different ages, needs and numbers. Creative workshops that focus on self-care can also be provided.

Mental health does not need to be scary, and these workshops aim to create a safe, informative and educational space to explore the topic, ask questions, and learn practical strategies for approaching and managing mental health.

Testimonials

“Thanks very much for conducting the 'Let’s Talk Mental Health’ interactive session with our HSBC colleagues. The workshop was very informative and you created a very friendly, open atmosphere and made everyone feel at ease. Our colleagues have delivered their feedback and they thought that you created a very supportive, warm and engaging environment and provided practical skills that everyone will be able to put to good use straight away'

Manager, HSBC Employee Workshop

"I found it really comforting to have someone talk professionally and personally about such a taboo subject in our PSHE lessons. People have such negative stigmas about mental illness and it's heartbreaking to think that some people blame the victim. Personally, it helped me as I am currently affected by seeing a loved one who is mentally unwell. I know now it's ok to feel upset but what's important is how you deal with it"

Pupil, Sixth Form Workshop

"Let’s Talk Mental Health delivered our school assembly with passion and authenticity. The topic of mental health is so increasingly prevalent that we were thrilled to have commissioned a presentation so engaging and relevant. During the assembly Clare shared personal experiences combined with training and knowledge, making for a very high impact and informative presentation"
