Workplace Mental Health Training

An Introduction to Mental Health - Management

New analysis in 2020 found that poor mental health costs UK employers up to £45 billion each year, a rise of 16% since 2016 (Deloitte, 2020). This same research found that for every £1 spent on supporting employee mental health, employers get £5 back on their investment in reduced presenteeism, absenteeism and staff turnover. It shows that higher return on investment can be achieved by early interventions, such as organisation-wide culture change and education.

In response to the increasing need for mental health education and positive culture towards mental health in the workplace, Let's Talk Mental Health offers a range of educational training for management to approach this topic. The introductory package is designed to introduce the topic of mental health, as well as explore how you can create an open and supportive culture towards mental wellbeing in your workplace.

The management introduction to mental health training package addresses the following learning objectives;

  • What is mental Health

  • Why do mental health issues arise

  • What are the common mental health issues arising in the workplace

  • Why is it important to address and take care of mental health in the workplace

  • How can we identify and support staff who may be struggling

  • How can we promote a supportive culture towards mental health in the workplace

  • Where can we signpost our staff for support

LTMH are also happy to develop and deliver training on specific mental health conditions by individual request.

The cost of training will vary dependant on the size of the group, the level of customisation, and the travel that is required to reach the chosen venue. If you would be interested in discussing this further, please do get in touch.
